Dr Chandra Muzaffar
Dr Chandra Muzaffar is President of the International Movement for a Just World (JUST), an international NGO based in Malaysia. He is also the Noordin Sopiee Professor of Global Studies at the Science University of Malaysia (USM) in Penang.
Dr Chandra received his PhD degree from the National University of Singapore in 1977.
Dr Chandra was the first Director of the Centre for Civilisational Dialogue at the University of Malaya, and has published
extensively on civilisational dialogue, religion, and human rights. Among his major publications are Protector (1979), Islamic Resurgence in Malaysia (1987), Human Rights and the New World Order (1993), Global Ethic or Global Hegemony (2005), Religion & Governance (2009). He has received numerous international awards in recognition of his contributions, among them the Harry J. Benda Prize for distinguished scholarship on Southeast Asia.
Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye
Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye is presently the Chairman of the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Chairman of SP Setia Foundation, and Vice-Chairman of the Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF).
He also served as Chairman of the National Service Training Council since 2005 to June 2008. He was a Member of the National Unity Advisory Panel from 2000-2008."
Prior to his current roles, Tan Sri Lee was in politics and served as MP for Bukit Bintang for four terms up to 1990. Prior to entering politics in 1969, Tan Sri worked as a temporary school teacher and trade unionist.
Tan Sri Lee completed secondary education at St Michael's Institution, Ipoh. and obtained his Senior Cambridge Certificate in 1965.
Dato' Dr. Mahani Zainal Abidin
Dato' Dr. Mahani Zainal Abidin is Director General of the Institute for Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia. She is a member of the International Steering Committee for Pacific Trade & Development (PAFTAD) since 2007 and also the Deputy President of the Malaysian Economic Association.
Prior to ISIS, Dato' Dr. Mahani was Professor in the Department of Applied Economics and Administration, University of Malaya. She was appointed a member of the Working Group for the National Economic Action Council (NEAC) in January 1998.
Dato' Dr. Mahani was appointed Head, Special Consultancy Team on Globalisation of the NEAC in 2001. She published a book titled "Rewriting the Rules: The Malaysian Crisis Management Model" in 2002.
Dato' Dr. Mahani holds a Ph.D in Development Economics from the University of London in 1992.
Dato' Dr. Ismail Ibrahim
Dato' Dr. Ismail Ibrahim has been the Sheikh Abdullah Fahim Chair at the Islam Hadhari Institute, UKM since 1 July 2008.
Dato' Dr. Ismail was Malaysia's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia from August 2005 to February 2008. He also served as the first Director General of IKIM from 1992 to 2002, and was a Professor and Director of Institute for Languages at the International Islamic University Malaysia from 1983 to 1991.
Prior to that, he lectured in UKM and was Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies from 1979 to 1981. He was also the chairman of the Fatwa Council of Malaysia.
He has published books and articles in the fields of Islamic Civilization, Islamic Thought, as well as topics on Islamic current issues.
In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the Maal Hijrah Person of the Year Award in 2001 (1422H) and the National Islamic Media Award for 1998.
Dato’ Dr. Ismail holds a Masters degree in Arabic Studies from Al-Azhar University and a Ph.D in Arabic Studies from St. Andrews University, Scotland.
Dato' Sri Tony Fernandes
Dato' Sri Tony Fernandes has been the Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Asia Berhad since December 2001.
Dato' Sri Tony was previously with Virgin Communications London and Warner Music in various posts and regions. His last posting was as Vice President, ASEAN from 1999-2001 at Warner Music South Asia.Dato’ Sri Tony has received numerous awards from industry observers and international press alike.
Among the awards are “Malaysia CEO of the Year 2003", and "Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year-Malaysia 2003". In 2006, he was named the "Master Entrepreneur of the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2006 Malaysia".

Dr Peter Mulok Kedit
Dr Peter Mulok Kedit is a Senior Advisor in The Tun Jugah Foundation, Sarawak. Previously, he served in the Sarawak State Government in various capacities, and ended his career as the Director of the Sarawak Museum in 1996.
Born of Iban parentage in Singapore, where he had his earlier education at the St Andrews’ Secondary School, he returned to Sarawak in 1960. He then studied at the University of Queensland, Australia for his Diploma in Journalism, BA (Hons),
and MA in Anthropology and Sociology, and earned his PhD in Anthropology, at Sydney University, in 1988.
While serving with the Sarawak government, Dr Kedit was actively involved in organizing cultural exhibitions and multi-ethnic activities, including the series of Sarawak Cultural Symposiums. He conducts research among Sarawak ethnic communities, and lectures Anthropology at UKM and UNIMAS. He has published many articles and books on Sarawak Ethnicity and Modernization.
Ahmad Izham Omar

Jannie Lasimbang
Puan Jannie Lasimbang is the newest Trustees member of Yayasan 1Malaysia. A human rights activist, Puan Jannie is actively involved in championing the rights of the indigenous people especially of Malaysia. Currently,Puan Jannie is a Commissioner in SUHAKAM. She is the also Chairperson-Rapporteur of the Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (EMRIP),which is a subsidiary body directly under the United Nations Human Rights Council and she is involved in the International Indigenous Forum on Biodeversity dealing with the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).
Puan Jannie hails from Sabah and since the 1980', she has been actively involved in environmental and human rights advocacy at the local, national as well as the international level.
